Volunteer Opportunities
Help coordinate one of our events
We hold events throughout the year for LGBTQ Parents and their families. In the past, volunteers have joined planning committees and set up for picnics, helped develop and conduct programming for our camp out, or supervised a corn hole tournament. Contact us at connect@mfakc.org if you would like more information on upcoming opportunities.
Host a PlayGroup Pop-Up
Want to get together with and meet other LGBTQ families in your area? Pick a date, time and location (i.e. playground, hiking trail, pool, community center, etc.) and host a PlayGroup Pop-Up. Just let MFA know the details of where and when to meet and any other relevant details that will be important and we will share it with our MFA network. This gives families a chance to connect informally outside of MFA-sponsored events.
Join the board of directors
We are always looking for parents with youth of all ages or community members who professionally serve LGBTQ families to help develop programs for our community and oversee our organization. If you are interested in joining this great group please contact us at connect@mfakc.org.
